Family Gathering 101

Image
Every family should have a game. Monopoly, Sorry, Poker, Phase Ten, anything as long as it brings everyone together. My family's game is euchre. We all know how to play it (except Loren, but that's just her being stubborn) and at any family gathering we all have a euchre tournament. We each have our usual partners and the only times we ever change is when someone is watching TV for some reason. My partner is always my Grampy (my mom's dad), my mom is always partnered with my sister, Quinn; my cousin's Morgan and Abbey (they're sisters) are always partners and their parents are always together as well. My cousin, Caleb, is in the Navy and has been in Hawaii for a couple of years so he hasn't been able to be here to be my aunt's partner since his sister is Loren who is too stubborn to just sit down and learn how to play. Only two sets of partners can play at a time so there are two tables playing at the same time and winners play winners and losers play lose

Dog Park Shenanigans

Image
There's not much to do in Ada, but just 20 minutes away in Findlay is the Field of Dreams Dog Park. Its impossible to walk away from here with anything but a smile on your face. All the dogs are fun and friendly and run around like adorable, fluffy maniacs. I took my sister's dog there yesterday; check out the video to see all the cuteness!! Short Scares

So, I've been entertaining myself with short films lately and have come across several disturbing but interesting horror shorts made by Crypt TV. I'll put the links to the ones I've watched at the end of this post. So far I've watched 6, and they are... interesting. They're good; I enjoy watching them, but with some of them I don't understand why they weren't made into full length feature films. With others, well... He Took his Skin off for Me (which was not made by Crypt TV) which is about a guy and his girlfriend, and the girlfriend asks him to literally took his skin off like its willingly removable, puts it on a hanger and keeps it in the closet. Weird, right? The next video was actually a set of videos, Look-See Parts 1, 2, and 3 . They're so good; the antagonist is super creepy, I think I get the plot of it, but I'm not entirely sure. I think the antagonist is a representation of each person's past and something they need to let go of, b

The Best Place on Earth!!

Who's going to argue with me when I say that the zoo is the best place in the world? Hopefully no one. I went to the Toledo Zoo with my mom tonight to see their new zoo lights. The only animals we really saw were the fish and things in the aquarium and a couple of the wolves but the lights were cool and the aquarium is my second favorite part of the zoo (right behind the reptile house). On top of that, on Friday, my sister and her boyfriend went to the zoo. They were walking past the monkeys (weird choice but whatever) and he proposed. They've been together for three years and I know they're going                               to have a wonderful life as a married couple.    Congratulations Quinn and Ben!!
