Taco Smell Good

Image
There is nothing like walking into the house and just knowing the smell of Taco Bell. Who doesn't get excited about the beautiful smell of Taco Bell? I want to talk specifically about the nachos, though. The warm, lightly seasoned, yellow goodness that is the cheese mixed with the over salted, crispy chips that accompany it are a match made in heaven. I love Taco Bell's nachos, but what makes them so good? The chips or the cheese? Gordon Food Service sells nacho cheese that is just as good as Taco Bell's, kind of. It lacks the tiny bit of spice, but other than that, it's the same stuff. Now, along with the cheese, you need chips. All tortilla chips should be the same, right? NO! Each brand is different in taste, look, texture, consistency and in the way it mixes with whatever you're eating it with. The problem is, whatever chips you decide to buy, they're not Taco Bell's chips. They don't taste the same (obviously), they have a more course texture and t

Department Store Horrors

So, I recently started working at a department store and when I started training to work on the cash register (they call it POS) people shared stories about how people would treat them badly. I just thought, maybe if I put a smile on my face and act as nice as humanly possible I won't be treated badly. I was wrong. I was working one day and a woman comes up to me asking if I could help her with looking up a product in cosmetics, I am not trained in cosmetics and do not have the computers to look up what products are in the back, so I told her this. I swear if there was a table in front of this woman she would have flipped it when I told her she would have to go back to customer service. I don't understand why it was my fault that I wasn't trained in that particular area and why I do not have the equipment to do every task. That same day, a woman asks for me to ring up her items. I begin to do so and she has a bottle of perfume (all our perfumes are in security boxes) and

Mr. Sailor Man

So, today is the birthday of someone very special to me and as a gift I'm going to brag about him. This handsome Navy Man to the right is THE Noah Michael Frey and he is my best friend. He is one of the sweetest, funniest, most caring, and most supportive people I know. Really, there are just so many adjectives to choose from; I wouldn't even know where to start (one of our "things" is quoting movies and things and then expecting one another to know what the quote came from, so that was a line from a song we used to listen to, First Impressions , from the musical First Date .) He is currently in Florida for some Navy things, and I'm not sure what that is specifically. I care about and appreciate this boy more than I can put into words. He is always there for me; even right after we fight (and we do, all the time, tbh we're probably going to fight about this if he sees it... ) He is sarcastic and can be a jerk, but most of the time its just "tough love&q
