Mr. Sailor Man

So, today is the birthday of someone very special to me and as a gift I'm going to brag about him. This handsome Navy Man to the right is THE Noah Michael Frey and he is my best friend. He is one of the sweetest, funniest, most caring, and most supportive people I know. Really, there are just so many adjectives to choose from; I wouldn't even know where to start (one of our "things" is quoting movies and things and then expecting one another to know what the quote came from, so that was a line from a song we used to listen to, First Impressions, from the musical First Date.) He is currently in Florida for some Navy things, and I'm not sure what that is specifically.
I care about and appreciate this boy more than I can put into words. He is always there for me; even right after we fight (and we do, all the time, tbh we're probably going to fight about this if he sees it...) He is sarcastic and can be a jerk, but most of the time its just "tough love". If I were to compare Noah and I's relationship to anything, I would say if the movies When Harry met Sally (which I made him watch all the time) and The Notebook (his favorite romance movie, cute right?) were smooshed together into a whole other movie; that would be us.
I know this has really nothing to do with anything relevant to anyone other than him and myself, but I don't care. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY OF YOUR EXISTENCE NOAH!!!!!!!!

Dreams are weird. I have never had what anyone would consider a "normal" dream. I'll give you one example of the strangest dream I think I have ever had. I once had a dream that I was going to a boarding school (that looked like Hogwarts). I was coming back from a class and there was a girl in the bathroom with all the showers running, and she was running around singing "it's raining , its pouring, the old man is snoring..." (we all know the song). Hit a Rut

Here at ONU you have the opportunity to pursue anything you want. I chose to pursue advertising design. It is a great program and I love it. I love the classes, I love the professors, I love my fellow students, but I'm just not sure where the advertising comes into the advertising design program. Mostly there have been art classes and general education courses and that is to be expected, but I was hoping for a broader view of what I would be doing business wise in the advertising world. I've decided to pursue public relations to get this broader view, but I don't know if I should add it as a second major, or if I should just go for the minor? On 1 hand, the major would give me another degree entirely, on top of my advertising design degree. 2 degrees is a good thing right? Most people get by with the 1 and make a life in a career that is in their desired field (sometimes even that doesn't happen and they're left at a job they hate.) With 2 degrees (one being adve...

Black Friday

Black Friday is a tradition we all know too well. The crazy people flying through the stores trying to find the best deals on whatever it is they are getting people for Christmas, the long lines, and the classic “ I got here first ” fights never seem to get old. I had to work Black Friday this year and it was kind of a disappointment. There were no fights, there were no crazy people, just the long lines which have to be the most boring part of the whole event. I opened the jewelry counter at Kohl ’ s in Findlay at 5 p.m. on Thursday. There was already a line outside the building when I got there at 4, and I was expecting a huge rush at the start of the night. I held my hopes too high. There was no mad rush, there were no fights, there weren ’ t even semi-angry people running around because they didn ’ t get the stuff they wanted.
