Double Trouble

Well, I have officially added a second major in... DRUMROLL PLEASE... public relations! After thinking it over and reading what you guys commented, I thought it would be best to add the major instead of the minor. It might be a little more time and effort now but down the road I think it will be very helpful. I'm more likely to get the job I want if I have the 2 degrees than if I were to just have the 1 degree and an added public relations minor. That was my thinking anyway. Who know what will happen? I'm just going to take in everything I can for all it's worth. I figured out basically the rest of my time here at ONU. If I want to graduate with the 4 year guarantee, that would give me 5 semesters and 2 summers to go through 35 classes. So, I would have to take 6 classes every semester, since we can't exceed 19 hours, and 5 classes in the time of two summers. I'm going to be busy. I'm not sure if I can take classes over christmas break. Are there online classes I could pick up over the winter? If not that's totally cool, it would just help A LOT if I could take online classes then too. If that's not an option, is there a way I could exceed the 19 hour limit?

    How exciting!! I am so happy for you and I know how great it feels sometimes to just make the decision. I know Dr. Aggozino or Dr. Fleck can help you with a lot of your questions about when and where to take classes. They are great about doing their best to help out students and figure out what to do with their time at Ohio Northern.     That is awesome! I believe that there are many great opportunities for that. ONU will most definitely help you know everything there is to know about Public Relations! I am also a major in PR and I am also majoring in Communications. I wish you nothing but the best!

Dreams are Weird...

Dreams are weird. I have never had what anyone would consider a "normal" dream. I'll give you one example of the strangest dream I think I have ever had. I once had a dream that I was going to a boarding school (that looked like Hogwarts). I was coming back from a class and there was a girl in the bathroom with all the showers running, and she was running around singing "it's raining , its pouring, the old man is snoring..." (we all know the song). Hit a Rut

Here at ONU you have the opportunity to pursue anything you want. I chose to pursue advertising design. It is a great program and I love it. I love the classes, I love the professors, I love my fellow students, but I'm just not sure where the advertising comes into the advertising design program. Mostly there have been art classes and general education courses and that is to be expected, but I was hoping for a broader view of what I would be doing business wise in the advertising world. I've decided to pursue public relations to get this broader view, but I don't know if I should add it as a second major, or if I should just go for the minor? On 1 hand, the major would give me another degree entirely, on top of my advertising design degree. 2 degrees is a good thing right? Black Friday

Black Friday is a tradition we all know too well. The crazy people flying through the stores trying to find the best deals on whatever it is they are getting people for Christmas, the long lines, and the classic “ I got here first ” fights never seem to get old. I had to work Black Friday this year and it was kind of a disappointment. There were no fights, there were no crazy people, just the long lines which have to be the most boring part of the whole event. I opened the jewelry counter at Kohl ’ s in Findlay at 5 p.m. on Thursday. There was already a line outside the building when I got there at 4, and I was expecting a huge rush at the start of the night. I held my hopes too high. There was no mad rush, there were no fights, there weren ’ t even semi-angry people running around because they didn ’ t get the stuff they wanted.
